To satisfy the monitoring and reporting needs of our growing client base, Private Market Connect is looking to hire additional Specialists in our Bala Cynwyd, PA office.


The PMC team monitors the performance of private market portfolios and investments using cutting edge analytics and multi-layered process controls. We aggregate, review, and quality control data in our proprietary investment management accounting platform. The PMC team is also involved in many special projects and initiatives.


The PMC specialist will serve as a liaison between our clients and our specialized Data Entry team. The team is also tasked with corresponding regularly with external private equity fund managers and corroborating those communications with reports that are run out of the PMC investment management platform.


The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and operate in a fast-paced and volume-driven environment where priorities often change.


  • Maintain a working knowledge of Investment Management Accounting System and the underlying fund, client, and asset positions.
  • Aggregate, designate, and manage the document workflow process from receipt through entry and quality controls.
  • Perform quality control reconciliations against Fund source documents.
  • Utilizing Excel to streamline existing processes and create new data controls.
    Possess a working knowledge of accounting principles and be able to extract and analyze data from financial statements.
  • Communicate with representatives of investment partnerships to ensure the timely receipt of cash flow and financial information.
  • Support assigned projects and special project work with allocated resources.
  • Review financial statements prepared by fund administrators for inclusion with reports.
  • Respond to both internal special requests (analyze reports/informational requests), interact with Senior Managers to ensure that the required level of client service is being provided.
  • Provide workflow support for Data Entry Team.
  • Balance the completion of assigned daily responsibilities, while meeting ad-hoc project request deliverables.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience

  • 0-2 plus years of work experience in an accounting/financial industry setting preferred
  • College degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of excel formulas and shortcuts, including: V-Lookups, If Statements, etc.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized and possess good analytical skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments/initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to operate in a high pressure environment
